Relaxation and action on a family holiday in South Tyrol
The quaint village of Naz is located in the idyllic Isarco Valley and offers the best conditions for a perfect family vacation in Naz/South Tyrol. Rolling green hills, fragrant meadows, gloriously blossoming apple gardens and an average of 300 sunny days a year invite you for many fun activities in the open nature. There is an extensive network of biking and hiking trails throughout Isarco Valley and its surroundings; it is an integral part of some of the major biking and hiking routes in South Tyrol.
Biking, hiking, swimming for the entire family
For beginners and experienced kids, there are leisurely bike paths through meadows and fields, as well as more challenging mountain bike tours on the vacation programme. Young hikers can enjoy 1-2-hour walks in the beautiful mountains. Especially the 10-km apple trail is ideal for families with children. The Bressanone High Trail is more challenging and offers breath-taking views of the mountains; the Panorama Trail to the lodge Rossalm leads to an exciting adventure playground for children. Young mountain friends with enough power and courage may also venture out for long distance trails and half-day or full-day excursions in the Dolomites. Overcoming particularly steep sections or an extremely challenging via ferrata can be celebrated in one of the many alpine huts or shelter with a hearty meal and pure natural apple juice. Once your kids have had enough of the mountains, you still will not be bored in the Isarco Valley. In the summer, the refreshing lakes in the area invite you for swimming and splashing around; in case of bad weather, the water park in Chiusa or the Aquarena in Bressanone provide year-round water fun for all ages.
Suggestion: A meeting with the beautiful apple queen during the Apple Blossom Festival in the spring or the Apple Festival in the autumn will surely make children’s eyes shine!
Skiing and toboggan fun for your winter family vacation in South Tyrol
In the cold season, your family may expect heaps of fun and winter joys, when the entire region lies under a white blanket made of powder snow. In the spacious garden of the Pension Auerhof, you may enjoy snowball fights and have a bet on who can build the biggest snowman. The peaceful lakes are ideal for ice-skating, and the surrounding mountains offer many, well prepared ski slopes. Families particularly like the two nearby ski resorts Gitschberg and Val Giovo, which count among the most child-friendly ski regions in Italy. With excellent ski schools and three kids’ parks with full day care, parents may enjoy great days skiing. Do not miss a ride on South Tyrol’s longest toboggan run. The “RudiRun” is located in the ski resort Plose, just a stone’s throw from the Pension Auerhof; on more than 10 kilometres, it leads right into the valley.
